Lipoamide-PEG8-acid is a lipoic acid PEG derivative that can be used to formulate vehicles for drug. PEGylation increases water solubility, enhances biocompatibility, and prevents opsonization in vivo. The acid moiety can be used to conjugate molecules for targeting.
